ANIMATED GLOWBALLS SETUP



Step 1:

To ensure Animated GlowBall strands are properly attached, align the notch on the strand connector with the slot on the hanging ring data port. Slide together, but DO NOT FORCE. Once attached, lightly tighten the connector end with your fingers.

    Step 2:

    Place the hanging ring at the top of the tree, with the first strand positioned at the back of the tree. The first strand is located next to the signal wire.

    Run the signal wire(s) down the center of the tree.

    Next, spread all the strands equally around the tree.

    Step 3:

    Attach the signal wire(s) to the GeekMyTree Controller. The starter package only has one signal cable. Connect it to Output 1. When using the expansion pack, match the cables to the Output numbers.

    Step 4:

    Attach the power adaptor to the GeekMyTree Controller. Then plug it into a wall outlet.

    HANGING OPTIONS

    Staggered Look

    On every other strand, create a small loop between the first and second GlowBall. Next, connect the optional GeekMyTree stagger clip to the loop as shown. Adjust the loop so it faces the inside of the tree.

    Parallel Look

    This is the out of the box configuration. Some effects such as blocks and scrolling text tend to look best with this look. 

     

    LOCATION OPTIONS

    Starter Pack - Wall & Window

    When placing the tree in front of a window or along a wall, it's recommended that you space the strands equally around the tree. To ensure effects display correctly, the first strand should be placed in the back, just to the left, as shown in the diagram above. 
     

    Starter Pack - In The Corner

    If you place your tree in a corner of the room, you can tighten up the spacing as shown above. This will make your effects look similar to trees running the Expansion Pack. To ensure effects display correctly, the first strand should be placed on the far left side as shown in the diagram above. 

     

    Expansion Pack

    Space the strands equally around the tree. There is no need to tighten them up if the tree is placed in the corner. To ensure effects display correctly, the first strand should be placed in the back, just to the left, as shown in the diagram above.
